War auf jeden Fall recht cool anzusehen. Indessen kann man wohl Ford (aktuell) als Lizenznehmer ausschließen, da sie auf Lidar setzen wollen. Jedenfalls hat Jim Farley (CEO Ford) dass in einem Interview mit dem Elon Musk-Biographen Walter Isaacson so rübergebracht.

Farley acknowledged that he has had conversations with Elon Musk. But he stated that Ford considered LiDAR to be an important part of the picture, noting that “where the camera will be completely blinded, the LiDAR system will see exactly what’s in front of you.”
Ich denke, Tesla muss mal ein paar Videos veröffentlichen, in denen demonstriert wird, wie FSD bei widrigen Bedingungen performed. Aktuell fahren die Austin-Taxen jedenfalls nicht bei starkem Regen, wobei ich nicht weiss, wie das bei Waymo gehandhabt wird.
