Diese Email kam heute an die Cowboy-Kunden: Dear ——, Over the past two years, Cowboy has gone through the most challenging period in its history. Like much of the bike industry, we’ve been hit hard by post-COVID disruptions, supply chain issues, and a significant recalibration across the entire sector. Major players have struggled; some have disappeared altogether. On top of this, we faced our first-ever bike recall due to a manufacturing issue affecting a subset of bikes. The root cause was an unapproved change made by one of our suppliers. It was serious, and we acted decisively. But it added significant complexity and strain when the business was already under pressure. Combined, these factors put pressure on every part of the business. Delays mounted. Communication faltered, and some customers were left waiting for their bikes, for spare parts, or clear answers. We know how frustrating this has been, and we are truly sorry. We chose to remain silent until we had tangible progress to share. Today, we do: •A signed term sheet with a new partner sets the path for long-term stability. •First replacement frames have arrived from our supplier. •Our first recall hub is operational, with more cities to follow this summer. •Operations and production will gradually return to normal thanks to new short-term funding. We’re not out of the woods yet, but we’re here. Still standing. Still fighting. And more committed than ever. This period has tested every part of our customers, partners and company, but it’s also reminded us why we started Cowboy in the first place: to build the best bike and the best experience, for urban riders. We wouldn’t be here without the patience of our customers, the trust of our partners, and the determination of our team. Thank you for standing with us. More to come in September. Adrien & Tanguy Na, da bin ich ja mal sehr gespannt, ob sie die Pleite abwenden können. Würde mich freuen, auch wenn die Firma bei mir persönlich jegliches Vertrauen verspielt hat. |
