Due to your support on this Kickstarter campaign, Fear Effect Sedna could not only go into production, but also we managed to reach our goal to fund a console port and release the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Recently we very excitedly revealed that we would be creating a version for Nintendo Switch, a console that was not available when we started the campaign. We’ve had a great response about the announcement from everyone. But unfortunately, a Nintendo Switch version will not be possible as an option for our backers.
At the time of the announcement we had assumed that it would be a possibility for the console tier backers to choose which console version and include the Nintendo Switch as an option. After looking into it in more detail, it’s a very expensive process to get the codes and it’s something that we did not budget for in the Kickstarter campaign.
Unfortunately, we are also unable to upgrade any of the backing tiers from PC to console versions.
We’re sorry for any confusion regarding the matter and if you’re a backer that was hoping to play on Switch instead of the version you originally chose when backing, maybe you can find a friend who wasn’t a backer that might like to swap with you.
It’s really exciting to think the game will be available on all of these platforms, and without all of you, the game wouldn’t have been possible at all.
